  1. Haha. I do like some EDM music but not all of it.
I’m at the age now I might say something then have to explain what it means to the person because they don’t understand haha.

  2. I was surprised to get a friend request from my friend Nikki who used to work here with a BA in art…people called her the baby the way they do me. Anyway she gat here right after she got married her for $…she was great…even had PC classes…she taught modern dance ! Her husband found a job in Switzerland so she had to move…so sorry cause she was the best! She sent me a video of a dance party with disco you mentioned…looked awesome that’s what I told her!

  3. I’m curious to know what your boys think of your music? They probably have no clue as to how powerful it was/still is! (Like my kids) One day they will know and see, even if it’s not until Jesus is putting that jeweled crown on your precious head I want front row seats to that one!

  4. So my kids are pushing their 30s, and it seems to us occasionally that the foundations of faith etc got lost, then out of the blue one of them will say something, and it’s like oh wow they remember, or some profound sentence will escape their lips which makes us think, yeah they got it even though they don’t realize it yet. So yet the end of the sentence, you didn’t read, the old part, is important. Wisdom and self searching is something thats learned over time. Let’s just pray there’s enough time.

    1. it occurs to me that nothing ever really occurs to God! LOL .. I think his grace goes ahead of us.. and he tolerates our short fall cause he see the end results too.. my kids are in his hands.. they’re all amazing now, and the worst ones have become the best! blessings on yer kids nearing 30? wow yer old! LOL

  5. Yes, heart breaking when your family doesn’t come to Christ and take good advice that again is heart-felt. However, very rewarding, when they do. You can’t make people’s decisions for them and ultimately between them and God, which, contrary to Leonard Cohen’s beliefs, is an interventionist God.

  6. Thanks for reading to the end of the verse. Gives one hope. I have a 37 yr old that I’d love to see consistently following Jesus for all the right reasons. I keep praying and prophesying that it’ll happen. I’d just love to see it. You know, SEE him overcome. That trusting God stuff is hard.

    1. Hi KP! I so get this.. my dad didn’t get anything I was doing even as a Christ follower btw.. none of us get all the reasons right… we’re still self aware… hard thing for me is watchin them do the wrong thing to learn why!

  7. This nutshell is scary because it sounds like it came right out of my head! For our son it’s heavy metal and other things…anyway I try to hold that verse as a promise and pray that there is enough time for them to reach that aha moment. I also wonder as you mentioned in an above comment how far God’s grace extends since He can see both the beginning and the end of our lives.

  8. “EDM like Diso on steroids” LOL I so enjoyed Disco but just can’t with EDM. I was just thinking about the Christians Bands/songs that made the crossover to Top 40 radio in the ‘70s and how they would be received today. My 30 years young daughter only does old school R&B and tunes from late 1990- present. She’s never listened to much Gospel or 1970-1980 Contemporary Christian despite it being on the car radio throughout her childhood. She’s God’s daughter since birth with gaps that need filling by The Holy Spirit. Thanks Bryan
