So that’s definitely a problem we all have. It’s called routine.
Can be good but can be bad. Maybe sometimes we need to not pray until we’ve unraveled our minds. Then I wouldn’t ever pray at that rate. That’s why we have prayer books. Sometimes starting with the prayer book gets your head in the game, and it’s easier to concentrate.
I’m not A.D.D. but my prayers sound a lot like yours Bryan…my mom used to call it scattered brained…I used to call it Monday morning rush…I had a good friend who was ADD who scared me to death. ..perfectly calm he would say, Where are we? when he was driving…What street is this? Where’s the park? North or south?…he was perfectly serious…he wanted to know how to make lifelong friends and was married…talk about a Rollercoaster ride!! Another friend was diagnosed and possibly O.C.D. too…what a combination!! She preferred making her relationships on social media and said it was safer and more fulfilling…..we’re no longer friends…so Bryan I don’t think your morning prayer rants to God are weird or strange they’re human in an unstable environment like everyone else…I meditate twice a day on a program that tells me when and whether I succeed …oh and I need a calendar to know the day!
NOW B , I GOTTA CALL YOU THE GREAT TAPPER CAUSE YOU HAVE DEFINITELY TAPPED INTO MAYBE THE MAJORITY NUTSHELLEANS .WE BE THE MASTER PROPRIETERS OF JUGGLING THE CONSTANT THREE RING CIRCUS OF THOUGHTS THAT GO THROUGH MINDS LIKE RUSH HOUR ON A LA INTERSTATE HIGHWAY ! HOW WE DO IT, DON’T KNOW . WHY WE DO IT, I HATE TO CONTEMPLATE THE ANSWER TO THAT! DAY END AND DAY OUT WE ENDURE ONLY TO PONDER ON THE WORDS OF THAT GREAT BALL PLAYING PHILOSOPHER HIMSELF YOGI BERRA WHO SAID WHEN WE START TO OPERATE LIKE WE DO ” IT’S LIKE DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN ” ! WELCOME HOME MY A.D.D NUTSHELLEANS IT’S NICE BACK HERE TOO ON THE BACK ROW !
Well, I also have ADHD, and my prayers sound so much like this, A HUNDRED TIMES A DAY, its incredible He keeps listening! I am utterly thankful that prayer happens all through the day, but it probably TAKES all day for me to squeak out a couple of semi-spiritual petitions heavenward. Oh, Lord, thank you for your patience and unconditional love ❤️
Lol This was so good Bryan!!
Gave me a good laugh. I can totally relate. My daughter diagnosed me with ADHD several years ago.
It’s so nice to have a “professional” opinion for the way my brain works. Lol
I heard something about prayer last week. The person said, “I might not be able to pray for 20 mins straight, but I can’t go more than 20 mins without praying.”
The older I get, the more I find this to be true.
Thank you for another great Nutshell Sermon. Appreciate you! <3

All humans are A.D.D. lol. We are all distracted and forgetful which is why God’s Word repeats things so He can keep reminding us lol

LOL.. so glad we can co miserate! RS
This one is uncomfortably relatable…
you have to laugh tho… took me five minutes to write this one! LOL
This is so relatable it’s supremely sharable. I had a young pastor cracking up today listening to this with him. He is now a Nutshellean.
LOL thanks for sharin the lunacy! Ted.. I believe you are credited with referring for the first time the idea of being a nutshellean! LOL
