I pick up a sad longing for something that was.lost and wishing to find again, a plea for help to get it back before night fall and all is dark. Perhaps a progression of an illness…the breakup of a relationship. Love the music a repetitive cry of despair…begging God’s mercy and holding onto His grace.
I just love this song. It’s one of those you want to listen to over and over again. The video is very good also. A very young and passionate Bryan Duncan. I wish you had done more videos BD, because you were actually very good at it. Very natural, unlike some other artists in Christian and mainstream at that time who were hard to watch because they weren’t as comfortable with themselves. It’s interesting to watch videos from the ’80s because the video technology is usually so far behind the genius of the music. With this song that was not the case. This is a good video and an outstanding song. Even though it’s 40 to 45 years later I’m so glad I found it.
high praise MKB … it was done on the cheap going solo was like starting over mostly… not much in the way of budget for video stuff with was still pretty new at the time..
