My laundry duties have been interrupted by your Nutshell Sermon—thank you, that’s a good thing. Don’t much like doing laundry anyway. I find that as I’m getting older the least little thing can and usually does distract me. I’m pretty sure God throws things at me from time to time to test me. He’s keeping me on my toes. Thanks God for your “interruptions”. He’s making me the person He wants me to be. Bryan, here’s hoping you have a good day and upcoming week with very few interruptions or distractions! Call me crazy but I love doing laundry! The problem is I have to take it somewhere else to do it. But I love folding it. And I love the feeling that all of it is done.
Wow Bryan! This relates to my Plan A B C…in yesterday’s nutshell. My comment was pretty short compared to the adjustments, anxiety, hoping, and praying I did. I thought where I am now is supposed to be the right place…noticed word Now? Well this weekend maybe a start for plan E! Everything is scrambled and I’m the one getting burned, as usual! They said to be polite and wait…how long? Do they think I’ll never walk again? Even with the 5-stone cordarosa on̈ my heart finger? Okay that’s E for E-plan, also for Elizabeth, so Even it’s gonna get done, that D word again! Bryan you know I’m not good at math, so how many plans do I need? Well today is Sunday Lord and Bryan Edward and I are gathered in your name …that’s 2 people…so I need to know if there’s more adjustments to be made…I’m not leaving and never dismissed!
Did you ever stop to consider what your child self would have thought about what you turned into later in life? The thing is, it would not have been possible to know because there was no way to fathom what the world has turn into. My point is, how can we completely know what we should be praying for? God has revealed so little of our futures to us. The things that are consistent include being good to others, caring for the poor and needy, visiting prisons and hospitals, loving God and others. Does anything else really matter?

The confusion comes from misunderstanding truths in the Bible by trying to apply all of it to us, but the new covenant can’t be combined with the old- and some of the things Jesus said were done when the old covenant was in effect. That’s why we get the idea of “He only forgives if I forgive “compared to “we are saved by grace, it is not of ourselves”.
This is all too much to absorb now, but knowing which covenant we are in is the key.
Well saw a comment that the new covenant cant be combined with the old. Well Jesus is a jew and everything taught was based on the Torah and prophets, he even went so far as to say that not one letter of the law would pass away until the heavens earth pass. He even quoted from the prophets and torah… he actually simply explained it. Didnt cancel it. Interesting so many people want to be like him until you tell them the law amd type of life. Like keeping the sabbath say. No thats not Sunday. Anyway. People need to study and learn history….. sorry. Christianity has turned into a feel good religion… its impossible to understand the new testament with out knowing the old inside and out. Cancel culture. I feel cancelled everyday just because I am who I am.
I think I mighta saw that but I glazed over when it sounded argumentative.. feel good religion is clearly not a back row opinion of course and I’ve never thrown old or new testament out.. I just don’t like some of words most of the time LOL and why do I go to my church locally.. and feel like I should cancel myself?
My understanding is at the New testament is the fulfillment of the Old testament. Jesus said the first and greatest commandment is set up the Lord your God with all your heart soul mind and strength, the second is like into it love your neighbor as yourself. On this hang all the law and the prophets.
