  1. I love this Bryan…the way you described water as crystal blue, clear and clean is a picture that is so pleasing for me. Your reference to the Bible makes it spiritual. It’s such a lovely way to pray and end life crossing it to heaven. It’s so creative! I’ve never heard the crossing of life after death this perfect, desirable way! Thanks for writing and sharing this today. The windstorm takes a break when I hear your voice and lyrics !

  2. Bryan,
Thank you for sharing a bit about where you were coming from with you write this beautiful song. As I mentioned on a post where I tagged you a few days ago, this song has a similar meaning for me. I’ve been judged harshly many times in the church by churchy people. I haven’t always responded in a Christian manner unfortunately, so the “Lead me to the water “ and “replenish my spirit” has been an ongoing cry to the Lord.

On a larger scale, I think it’s part of that renewing our mind thing he tells us is to do daily as we work through our disappointments with church people and life in general. None of us are perfect. Thank fully we serve one who is.

As always Bryan, I appreciate your ministry, gifts, talents and abilities. I listened to the entire Holy Rollin last week. It’s on one of ny Bryan Duncan play lists. God always touches me through your songs. I believe we have quite a lot in common in church and upbringing.

Some days I just want to immerse myself in that water and never come up for air. Other times it’s like I dip a toe in it and think nahhh I don’t want to get wet. The spirit of willing but the flesh is weak. Lord, please help me to overcome my flesh daily and immerse In the water of Christ.
    God bless.
    Dar Dar.

  3. Great lyrics! I know I need a spiritual cleansing every now and then. I can listen to certain songs of yours or SCB and you’ll see me break down and cry (you’ve witnessed it in person) because the meaning behind the lyrics just hit me differently than most people. When that’s happening, I’m completely engulfed and it’s like being baptized all over again —being raised up from the crystalline water. Listening to your music washes my heart and soul clean. Thank you from the back row.

  4. i like the lyrics sermons its intresting ti see how you come up with your music bryan also i like everybody wants to rule the world too n im gonna listen to your song right now on youtube

  5. I know it’s 40 years old but it’s STILL GOOD. It was a pleasure to edit your track for it. Made me feel like I was a small part of it.
Timeless song because of the Truth it holds.
