Loving these episodes – thank you! So here’s my biggest question: what’s with the tomatoes (tomatos?) on the table, on the episode photo? lol.
wow that was the quickest listen to my Nutshells after they were posted to date.. Thanks Todd. those tomatoes ? we were packing our lunch cause we were about to spend a whole lot of money else where! LOL
Bathrobes lol. Very good bro. I get to listen once in a while.
Hey Harg! … man it’s been a long time since we met in person! still remember that great gig you brought me in for … always great to know we’re both stil alive.. let me know when yer not! LOL
Yep, my go to Christmas album; always has been, always will be.
longest tour I ever did.. five years LOL 2 months at a time
Thanks for all the specific names of the players, producers, engineers etc. always appreciated. As you mentioned the drummer my mind immediately went to Greg and then you mentioned him. He is such a great person and player. Have you ever heard him do his cartoon voice overs? He get’s calls for Winnie the Pooh and others. And of course he is in Ringo’s all Star band so I dare say there is a better gig on the planet! I See Stubenhaus in credits but have never done a full on internet stalking session. Nathan East, Gary Lunn, Jackie Street, and the bearded wonder Lee Sklar come to mind for bass players. Of course I happen to live near David Huff(of David and the Giants) and he put on a cd release show this past year and who happens to have flown in to play bass – Tommy Simms! I guess David helped him as a kid when he was a nobody. But back to the project…A thousand years into eternity I think I will still be playing this Christmas project
I used everyone you mention except Lee Sklar.. but I did hang out with him once in the lobby at Sound Kitchen.. for lunch!~
had no idea about Greg’s cartoon voices.. man that woulda been a hoot to hear..
You have mentioned previously what a wonderful and encouraging producer Dan was. Great pic, two good looking guys. And, as you know, I love the album , inspired a couple of videos.
Hi J nice to hear yer comments on here too

Greg Bisonet is a prodigy. He has played for many high ranking secular bands including with Ringo Starr, the drummer’s, band. Yeah, he’s brilliant.
I think Greg still plays with Ringo if he’s playin at all… and Greg also did voice overs for Winnie The Pooh character!
I love this album! Oh come to my heart and What wondrous love are two of my favorite on here and I was familiar with both…Another favorite moment is the intro to angels..that was an excellent idea.
I once played an angel in a Christmas pageant and sang What Child is this? I did not find that song particularly easy to sing and it’s the first time I went blank on the lyrics in a performance…yikes!
some Christmas lyrics are easy to NOT remember … Oh Holy night …second verse I have to write it down
I’ll be honest – I’ve never listened to this album, but after checking out that Angels We Have Heard on High track, I can’t wait to put it on in a month or so! (I just don’t want to get started on Christmas music too early.) This must have been a pricy album! All star cast of session players. Of course with me, all you have to say is Dann Huff and I’m gonna listen. (I liked it so much, I had to sit down with a guitar and the YouTube video set to 50% to find exactly what he was playing.) I just watched a Rick Beato video the other day with Gregg Bissonette and what a monster player. Can’t wait to listen in a few weeks. (Side note: Your version of O Come O Come Emmanuel from Our Christmas is one of my favorites from my childhood listening to KLTY. I don’t remember the oboe(?) ad libs in there. Was that Sam Levine, by chance?)
there was a lot of people on this record, and some recorded both sides of the. country.. can’t recall Sam Levine, I know the name so I can’t be sure its my thing or his name. spent 120K on this project, I wasn’t real crazy about the big mass choir stuff that wasn’t really me in church.. we never had a choir.. too small.
