  1. I’ve probably misinterpreted a lot of Bible verses. The good news is I’m attending the Nutshell Sermons Bible College and learning a lot thanks to my knowledgeable, articulate and engaging professor, Bryan D. Did your head just swell up really big ? You won’t be able to get out of the room you’re in right now because of it. LOL! Continually learning from the back row (I’m probably not turning any heads either). By the way, did you call us Nutshellians “nuts”? Ok—I’m good with it!

  2. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the subject of a good fight! Personally I’m not into fighting…maybe because I’m not a man? I still don’t even like the idea. It makes me think about watching the fights, and that’s not emotionally charged, it’s a paid profession. As a woman I prefer seeing men acting like gentlemen even if they disagree. You wouldn’t hit your own wife if you didn’t agree. You would talk it out, find a way to end the argument ASAP. The Lord says, don’t let the sun go down on your anger…it’s not healthy to be overwhelmed by spite anyway. It spikes the blood pressure and a bunch of other detrimental effects…lay down your weapons and have a duet not a duel !

    1. well first of all fighting becomes defensive protection at least! this sermon was mostly inspired by news about threats from radical Islamists and others who are not ready to assimilate.. and the suicidal empathy offered by light weight judges who give murder’s a light weight sentence

  3. Makes me think of your lyrics to “Only Wanta Do What’s Right”, Brother Bryan, while I was cultivating skin cancer this time of year back in late ‘80s! I should’ve turned my cheeks back into the house instead of by the pool! My mother tried telling me my face is going to peal off! Glad it didn’t have lasting effects! Praying for you and Cassie and your family! GBU!

  4. These messages are so packed with information I have to listen a couple times. I’m actually getting better at taking it all in. I love that scripture in Micah. I always want to know what God really requires. Do justice love Mercy be humble in my walk with God. If it’s that simple I can actually accomplish it. I definitely used to misinterpret the scripture about turning the other cheek. It’s very sad to think of it now but I allowed myself to be bullied in junior high. Almost didn’t make it out alive. And I actually thought that’s what Jesus wanted for me. Lol so sad. Boy I stick up for myself now though, maybe too much? Still trying to strike a healthy balance there. Thank you for these awesome messages. I look forward to them everyday.
