  1. It’s a very happy song…. the bright side is the place I love to be…and stay! Thanks Bryan for writing and sharing this today cause God knows I need a pickmeup!

      1. This way of doing backrow is good for me…you’ve always said I need to slow down…it’s because I don’t breathe! Anxiety, fear, grief, misunderstood…what I don’t understand is why I share when that’s one thing I said wouldn’t do.. .I didn’t want the world to know my private life.

        1. Bryan thanks for not showing my name…said I’d prefer not having private life to be open knowledge…it’s okay if you know my special friend ❤️.

  2. This is a catchy little tune. It’s not surprising I like it—-everything you write is great! Nice to hear you’re singing for the Dead Sea Squirrels—something I’ve not heard about until now. Sounds like an interesting concept. Nutshell Sermons and now Dead Sea Squirrels—there’s a connection there—hmmm. Well, “it’s a pretty good situation” on the back row at Church in the Wind. Thanks for the acceptance, BD.

  3. Yes it is one of your happiest…I’d love to hear what was happening to inspire propositive lyrics if it’s not too personal…awww what the hay, we’re all in therapy rehab so spill! Lol

    1. nothin specific happened.. I’ve just always been aware of two sides of the moon! LOL I wrote it so I could have a simple song to have the audience sing with me on.. it was effective!

  4. Love this album and the beginning songs… you’re so good looking as a young professional musician and writer…this was a kick start album to a life full of rich songs and notoriety. You always make it Bryan…no need to worry what’s ahead, you always have enough and some left to raise some colorful flowers in baskets or whatever you’re into on your office patio…..each month you can add one thing like a pretty planter or hanging basket….I’m working on a terrarium myself…first I need to clear out space…ongoing project…lol

      1. Wow 106 is hot! Do you still have your writing studio on the porch? The last pic you posted had lots of green … more than that, it must be hot for you and a cup of coffee!

        1. I drink ice coffee in the mornings in the summertime.. and I haven’t done a nutshell sermon on the porch ever when it’s over a 100 degrees out.. its also why I get up at six a.m. only time you can be outside for a bit

  5. The funny thing is, I generally think of your work as Pop R&B which I associate with happy and positive. But I just went back and looked at a number of the songs and lyrics. Yeah, there’s some seriously weighty stuff hiding behind those pop sensibilities.

  6. Well you can always count on me for a different perspective. LOL I’m still the new guy (gal) at this church, who usually has to adhere to Proverbs directives on not uttering all my mind, or accepting the fact that I just won’t be wildly popular. When I was in my early twenties about 30 years ago I listened to an album like Mercy and it seemed to commiserate with me. The one thing I had going for me is every guy in my singles group seemed to want to marry me. As you could guess, the girls hated me. Lol but I found comfort in this same voice which still seems like that of a good friend. That being said, I do not hear a lighthearted song here. I hear that it’s a pretty good situation. But there are a lot of minor tones. I guess as a thinker, I wonder why it’s a pretty good situation and not a really good situation. I hear someone who is maybe still on the other side contemplating coming over to what will one day be great? I don’t believe I have found a BD song that does not feel somewhat weighty. So, in line with this observation, the above song just makes me want to consider a new and different aspect of things. In short, this song does not seem bright to me. Can anyone else elaborate?
