Please do not feel like you’re not useful or don’t have a purpose. I know that God created you BD to minister to the people through your music and your humor. Many people have been blessed by your talents and their lives have been changed for the better. You’ve touched people’s souls, my friend! ‘Nuff said.
not to worry yes, I do have similar thoughts.. but I am tryin to say what most of us have in the way of struggle for significance I coulda done better even depicting those thoughts I spose
Thanks for sharing this today, especially the end, you’re never dismissed! I hadn’t heard that in a day or two, so I’m like you Bryan. I never know where I stand…I guess we’re the same, wondering whether what we’re doing is right pleasing God and others, but also realize that pleasing others is a drain of our own special needs. Contribution to others is Christian, not only in church…common courtesy has become a lost art, and I believe it’s up to all of us to do our part to maintain a civil relationship! Thanks for sharing this nutshell Bryan, it’s given me something to think and pray about before I go to sleep tonight! Lol
Some deep waterfalls of the heart expressed here Mr D. Dig your transparency. Papa God desires and delights in our brutal truthfulness with Him. He’s got huge shoulders that can bear our stuff I’m sure. From my experiences with Him anyway. And I reckon we can hear the gentle whisper “Good, son. Now we can get somewhere together here. Expect transformation!!”.
I kinda get where you are coming from B, since retiring 3 years ago i had my own thought wars so to speak. Don’t get me wrong ain’t looking to punch nobody’s clock but after a year in a half of taking care some personal and legal things it can get really monotonous sometimes ! Do like getting up whenever I want and don’t have to set my alarm unless something special comes up ! I don’t battle thoughts of what I’m doing here my thing is sometimes I just don’t feel like doing anything! I guess after 40 years of getting up sometimes before the sun comes up and going home when the sun isn’t up may have something to do my lack of enthusiasm for doing a whole lot lately! Boredom does follows like a shadow sometimes so I know that feeling also. B , I got a feeling that we just gotta hang in here rumble against unproductive thoughts with God’s help and trust the process .

I think we all have prayers that we wouldn’t want to say in front of the “perfect Christians” who never seem to have any trials. Frankly, I got to a place in life about 20 years ago where it didn’t matter to me anymore what anyone else thought. Now, I’ll pray out loud at the very moment I need connection – no matter who is around. Short and to the point, but definitely audibly. I figure if others can say ridiculous stuff around me and to me, they can put up with it if I need to blurt out a prayer to my Abba. You know, like, “Lord, thank you for keeping me from opening up a can of whoop@$$ on this smart aleck! Please teach him to mind his tongue!” LOL!! Talk about a prayer you can’t say in church!! But more likely, it’s a prayer for blessing or protection that I blurt out without asking before anyone can object, because it’s easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission. 😉

Bryan you’re a special friend …you take your followers seriously and respond to all within 24 hours. That’s an amazing, fete in itself. You offer Bible believing everyday stimulating wonders and hope for healing and redeeming. It all starts with Jesus. You say it multiple times in each day, each prayer to God, wherever. Especially the backrow seekers. A good name is, what you didn’t understand in church! Or more true didn’t listen or think it’s important. Thanks for clarifying this up Bryan! Daily devotionals are simple, easy, step by step instructions for living in Christ . Lol
Stayin involved by the moment becomes more and more necessary to maintain my own sanity.. its also my defiance against popularity as a goal.. what a waste it is to chase the attention of the masses..
I think I have that kind a thought and prayer once a week. Even sought out a counselor. With what I believe and who I am friends,are hard to come by… listening to this at7:39am. Today will be better.
Wow there’s some real stuff most of us have battled with if honest️just rest assured that we truly are ALL His favorites…some just don’t return it and lose out…

We’re you readin’ my mind here? I spose we’ve all had these thoughts at one time or another. Someone said, just remember God knew what He was signing up for when He created you….I surely hope so…
Bryan, did you ever think that God didn’t intend us to know Him that well after Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge apple in the Garden of Eden? They weren’t awarded, they were demoted. God said not to eat it cause it would make us like Him. Satan thought he was greater and was demoted with 1/3 of the angels to hell! He was punished, and we inherited a life of work,pain at birth and sorrow at death. Personally I think you’re on the road to salvation, which isn’t easy,but must be endured, .Keep yourself opened for happiness along the way, and your heart for joy!
