      1. so you are saying I could cash in and retire? rare does not imply valuable but each of your projects has been a privilege to have

  1. This is so good. Funky vibes.
Marriages in America would be much better if all the men could sing to their wives every day like this. ❤️

  2. Nice funk-o-rama. There’s an 80’s Christian artist that sings a song talking about, “Why should the Devil have all the good music.” Ain’t that the truth. Your music is timeless. I’m hoping it’s in Heaven’s hymnal! I listen to KLove80’s quite a bit. They play your songs from SCB to solo stuff. There’s no better music, particularly Christian, than that time period (you can throw in secular too). In listening to your podcast, you mentioned Carman. I toured with him on the Addicted to Jesus tour. Not as a vocalist, but product and assistant to the road manager. I certainly have some interesting stories. The only time i saw you in concert was in the 1980’s, Gulfport, MS at the First Baptist Church. On a side note with a bit of a flashback for you, i currently live in Lakeland, FL. You know what resides there…haha. I went for two years starting in 1991, but ended up meeting my wife “off campus.” In November of this year, we’ll be married 30 long years (emphasis on long)! You should have my email. Reach out any time. I’d be interested in hearing some more stories. In terms of your podcast, knowing the stories behind the songs were really eye opening, in a positive way. Would love to hear more. One song, of many, that really resonated was the SCB’s “you led me to believe.” What a powerful song of disappointment yet a resolve to continue on in the faith. I had always thought you wrote the song concerning someone you knew, but found out that Randy wrote it. However, no better vocalist could have pulled it off!

    1. That song was about the lead singer in an early group called Psalm 150.. I’ve told that story in Jesus n music somewhere. Wow, you went to Southeastern too! I tell my story of those days in the early Jesus n Music as well.. Carmen was hard to figure, didn’t like his songs much but then he came to my concert in Tulsa just to say hi! .. can’t not like someone that likes you! Thanks for Hangin around MSF

      1. Two questions regarding “You lead me to believe”. Did the person know the song was about him and do you know if he ever came back to the Lord? It was such a powerful song. I know this guy who was a pastor and walked away from God. I honestly wonder if he ever knew the Lord in the first place. I think this about the guy from Psalm 150. People can play the part, but not be saved. That’s got to be an interesting mindset for those folks. Just thinking out loud 🙂

        1. I tell this story somewhere in Jesus n music.. yes the song was about Greg Eklar from psalm 150 and yes he did return to the Lord.. he died a few years ago now..
