  1. WOW B, I GOT TO BELIEVE FROM THE WAY IT SOUNDS THAT YOU HAD TO BE CONSTANTLY TRYING TO MAKE THINGS WORK TO MAKE THINGS WORK ! AS A YOUNG MAN BACK THEN DID YOU REALISE WHAT IT WOULD TAKE TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL BAND AND TO YOU WHAT WHERE YOUR THOUGHTS ON WHAT A SUCESSFUL SHOULD BE LIKE ? HOW OFTEN DID YOU GUYS PRACTICE AND WHERE DID YOU GET TO PRACTICE THOSE GREAT SONGS YOUR FANS ENJOY TODAY ?

    1. we’re kind of clueless in our youth (not sure that goes away LOL) but for us it was just perpetually doing the next right thing.. no idea what it should look like. rehearsal studios from the start: Ricks Living room, Kevin’s garage, Ricks garage after he got married,,
back in the days of those shag carpet squares you could stick to the wall! LOL

  2. My late love of my life Melody liked playing and singing that first song you wrote. When I was Alone. Heck she loved all your music. Love the memories y’all provided.

  3. I for one am so glad that SCB did not try to pigeonhole themselves into a specific style or genre. I very much enjoyed the sonic palette of your albums. Though a lot of your music was geared to your blue-eyed soul voice, the albums could run a gamut of music styles. It was always enjoyable. You were definitely different, and stood out against a backdrop of cookie cutter groups. I guess that’s why you still have people like me, wishing there had been more groups like SCB. Just cause it’s a Christian band, didn’t mean creativity needed to be stifled. God Bless you Brother, hope you and yours enjoy thanksgiving and celebrating the Birth of the Savior…

  4. When I was Alone or Jesus I love You was probably the first and only song I learned to play on keys. I played acoustic guitar and electric bass in my day.

  5. Do you remember the years you were in Yuba City? That’s where my now husband lived for a few years and he went to Calvary to see the bands with his friends. I think that’s where he first heard you and Randy Stonehill and others who became his favorites.

    1. Oh yea, Yuba City was a main stay in our west coast tours back then.. went there a lot.. Chuck Fromm was pastor up there who became the head of Maranatha music.. of course when we left after one record he was the one who said our chances of doin anything else were slim n none! LOL

  6. So just talked to my husband and he said that the bands played in his high school… Christian bands playing in a high school. And Mustard Seed Faith at his church. He said he and his friends really liked you guys best.
